Job Position: CNC Set Up Machinist

Location: Waukesha, WI 53189

Pay Rate: Up to $40.00/hr + $3.00/hr Shift Premium BOE

Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Description:

We are immediately hiring in Waukesha, WI for an experienced milling and/or turning CNC machinist with the ability to set-up large scale parts and select tooling. Must be able to work independently. You’ll be working the second shift, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

CNC Set Up Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

• Read and interpret blueprints and work order routings.

• Properly loads and unloads material and fixturing into CNC machinery.

• Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.

• Understand, interpret and edit G-code programming.

• Recognize, deploy and properly use inserts, fixtures and tooling.

• Understand and have the ability to perform tool wear offsets.

• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.

• Comply with all quality policies, specifications and instructions.

CNC Set Up Machinist Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a CNC machinist is required.

• Must have Tool & Die background

• Experience with Fanuc & Heidenhain Controls preferred.

• Experience with Boring Bar, Milling or Drilling of Structural Weldments required(steel, stainless & aluminum)

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.

• Heavy manufacturing preferred.
