Job Position: Fitter-Welder

Location: Waukesha, WI 53189

Pay Rate: Up to $29.00/hr + $3.00/hr Shift Premium BOE

Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Description:

Our family-owned and operated company is immediately hiring for a second shift fitter-welder experienced with GMAW, Flux, and Sub Arc welding in Waukesha, WI. Experience with open table fit up & welding large scale parts and the ability to work independently is a must. You’ll be working Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Fitter-Welder Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

• Read and comprehend welding instructions and structural drawings.

• Verify the correct quantity and quality of parts welded.

• Layout stitch welds; locations of weld and weld size for welders.

• Work from drawings, patterns, fixtures and specifications.

• Layout and operate both fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting purposes.

• Move material using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedure, safety regulations and practices.

• Assist with the welding of Weldments.

• Perform cleaning, assembly, and straightening operations as directed by Supervision.

• Ability to comply with all quality policies, specifications and instructions.

Fitter-Welder Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of two years (2) experience as an open table Fitter with large parts and Heavy Plate manufacturing

• Experience in Solid Wire 0.45 or o.52 or Fluxcore 3/32 welding required

• Able to read and comprehend welding blueprint and symbols

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Heavy manufacturing in a job shop environment is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
