Location: Waukesha, WI 53189

Pay Rate: Up to $27.00/hr + $3.00 Shift Premium BOE

Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Description:

Our family-owned and operated company is immediately hiring for a second shift welder experienced with GMAW, Flux, and Sub Arc welding in Waukesha, WI. You’ll be working Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Welder Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

• Read and comprehend welding instructions and structural drawings (blueprints)

• Know and understand welding symbols

• Move material using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedure, safety regulations and practices

• Verify the correct quantity and quality of parts welded

• Select and install proper welding wire and gas mixture

• Operate a fuel gas hand torch for heat straightening purposes

• Perform cleaning, assembly, and straightening operations as directed by Supervision

• Set-up and fine tune welding machine for proper wire speed and machine voltage

• Ability to comply with all quality policies, specifications and instructions

Welder Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a welder required

• Experience in Solid Wire 0.45 or o.52 or Fluxcore 3/32 welding required

• Able to read and comprehend welding blueprint and symbols

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• Heavy Manufacturing in a Job Shop preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required
