Job Position: Wire Cutter

Location: Spring Grove, IL 60081

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm

Description:

A privately-held manufacturing company in Spring Grove, IL that focuses on electrical wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and wire processing is seeking a wire cutter machine operator.

Wire Cutter Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify proper specifications from cut sheets and job orders.

• Manually and digitally set up wire-cutting machines to job specifications.

• Maintain and troubleshoot wire-cutting machines.

• Inspect products to ensure they meet specifications.

• Minimize scraps through proper operation of machines.

• Communicate problems with machine operation and set-up supervisor.

Wire Cutter Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or relevant work experience.

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.

• Ability to convert between fractions and decimals.

• Ability to read a ruler to 1/64 of an inch.

• Possess practical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

• Read small print at a distance of 12-18 inches.

• Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

• Work while standing on a concrete floor the majority of time.

• Maintain a brisk pace and meet generally accepted production rates.
