Job Position: Solderer

Location: Spring Grove, IL 60081

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Thu, 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Description:

Use hand soldering gun and tin dipping of electrical wires. Performs tasks in the areas of wire and cable assembly and general maintenance. May also use manual tools to crimp wire and cable. Works under direct supervision.

Solderer Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify proper specifications from cut sheets and specifications

• Manually set up your work station in preparation of soldering

• Soldering wires to electrical components using hand soldering iron

• Tin dipping wire into solder pot to protect the wire strands

• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of soldering gun operations

• Inspect products to ensure within specifications

• Minimize scrap through proper operation, maintenance and set up of machines

• Communicate problems with supervision

• Miscellaneous other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Solderer Qualifications and Requirements

• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination

• Ability to see and differentiate colors. Corrected vision that allows reading of small alphanumeric letters at a distance of 12-18 inches

• Ability to lift boxes up to 40 pounds

• Ability to solder while standing, some tasks require standing all day

• Ability to speak, read and write English required

• Mechanical skills/knowledge and manufacturing experience desirable

• Working experience with Soldering gun and flux

• Electronic assembly preferred but not require
