Job Position: Fitter-Welder

Location: Slinger, WI 53086

Pay Rate: Up to $29.00/hr + $3.00 shift differential BOE

Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Description:

Our family-owned and operated company is immediately hiring for a first shift fitter-welder experienced with GMAW, Flux, and Sub Arc welding in Waukesha, WI. Experience with open table fit up & welding large scale parts and the ability to work independently is a must. You’ll be working Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Fitter-Welder Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend welding blueprints, patterns, fixtures and specifications

• Verify the correct quantity and quality of parts welded.

• Layout stitch welds; locations of weld and weld size for welders.

• Layout and operate both fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting purposes.

• Move material using a forklift and overhead crane

• Assist with the welding of Weldments.

Fitter-Welder Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in open table Fit-Up

• Experience with Solid-Wire or Flux-Core

• Experience with large parts and heavy plate manufacturing

• High School diploma or equivalent=

• Heavy manufacturing in a job shop environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
